The Brooklyn Bridge is a historic suspension bridge in New York City that spans the East River, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn. It was designed by John A. Roebling and his son Washington Roebling. It was completed in 1883 and was an engineering feat at the time. It remains an architectural iconic landmark today and draws thousands of tourists every year.with over 30,000 pedestrians walking across the bridge every day. It is known for its Gothic towers and its steel cables. To capture this image, I arrived before sunrise to ensure there would be minimal walkers. I took the photo with my back towards Brooklyn so that I could capture part of the Manhattan skyline. One World Trade Center, formerly known as Freedom Tower during its initial planning stages, rises elegantly to the left of the bridge and glistens in the morning sun. I chose to process this photo in black and white but used selective color for the American flag on top of the bridge's tower.
